Medical Rides Directory is built and run from Charlotte, North Carolina, by a team that works in non-emergency medical transportation every day. This page explains what the site does, how listings get verified, and exactly what we are and are not.

The problem

Our goal is to provide one centralized platform where users can go to find transportation providers in their area and be able to see what services they provide, what hours they're open, and the contact information to either get in touch with them directly or request a callback.

What this site does

Medical Rides Directory is a free directory of independent non-emergency medical transportation providers across North Carolina: their services, hours, coverage areas, and direct phone numbers. Providers list themselves, you contact them directly, and they handle scheduling and pricing with you. No account, no fees for riders.

How listings are verified

Every provider is contacted directly, by phone, before their listing goes live: we confirm they are operating and confirm the services and coverage area on their listing are accurate. "Verified" on this site means exactly that call happened, nothing more. We do not run driver background checks, inspect vehicles, or independently verify insurance or licensing; see the disclaimer for the full scope.

What we are not

• We are not a transportation provider. We do not own vehicles or employ drivers, and we never dispatch a ride.
• We are not a broker. Every ride is arranged directly between you and the provider you choose, at the price they quote you.
• We are not for emergencies. If this is an emergency, call 911.
